Music at your wedding:

If you'd like your wedding to be enlivened by some music and perhaps even a dance party, remember to pay the SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers).

In fact, if music is played in a public place, whether live or with audio and video systems, royalties must be paid. A "public place" also includes a generally private place that is open to the public on special occasions, such as a wedding.

SIAE payments are made directly by the couple, who must contact the office closest to the wedding venue or make the payment online directly on the SIAE website.

SIAE Wedding Fees

Payment is based on three main criteria:

– The number of guests
– The type of music (live or DJ)
– The venue category
